That turns the VIP into a visible tag and recurring revenue. ## Why VIP ranks[](https://streethosting.com.br/en/guides/minecraft/create-vip-rank-minecraft#por-que-vip) A VIP rank is the most common way to fund a server without selling an advantage that unbalances the game. The player gives support and gets visible status and conveniences, and the server gets revenue to pay for hosting. It is a core piece of any [monetization](https://streethosting.com.br/en/guides/minecraft/monetize-minecraft-server) strategy. ## Create the group[](https://streethosting.com.br/en/guides/minecraft/create-vip-rank-minecraft#criar-grupo) In LuckPerms, create a group called vip and make it inherit from the default group. Inheritance makes sure the VIP keeps everything a regular player has, and you only add the extras on top. If you are not comfortable with the tool yet, start by [setting up LuckPerms](https://streethosting.com.br/en/guides/minecraft/luckperms-minecraft-setup). ## Colored prefix[](https://streethosting.com.br/en/guides/minecraft/create-vip-rank-minecraft#prefixo-colorido) The prefix is what appears before the name in chat and identifies the VIP. Set a colored prefix on the vip group. For it to show up in chat, enable a chat plugin that respects LuckPerms prefixes. Use strong, readable colors for the prefix. A VIP who barely stands out in chat loses the status appeal that justifies the purchase. For the VIP announcement card on Discord, [blockface](https://blockface.streethosting.com.br/?utm%5Fsource=streethosting&utm%5Fmedium=site&utm%5Fcampaign=tools&utm%5Fcontent=guia%3Aconfigurar-rank-vip-tag-servidor-minecraft) generates a high-resolution 3D render of the player's skin, and art with the buyer's face converts far better than a generic banner. ## Exclusive permissions[](https://streethosting.com.br/en/guides/minecraft/create-vip-rank-minecraft#permissoes) * More homes than a regular player * Themed kits exclusive to VIPs * Access to convenience commands * Cosmetic perks that do not break the economy Keep the perks in the realm of convenience and looks. Items that are too strong draw pay-to-win complaints and drive away the player base that keeps the server running. ## Connect it to the store[](https://streethosting.com.br/en/guides/minecraft/create-vip-rank-minecraft#ligar-loja) The final step is automation. Set up the store to put the player in the vip group as soon as the payment is confirmed. It is the most common route. LuckPerms handles groups, inheritance and prefixes in an organized way. You can use other permission plugins, but LuckPerms is the community standard. How do I make the tag colored in chat? Set a prefix on the VIP group using a color code. For the prefix to show up in chat, you usually need a chat plugin, such as the EssentialsX chat module. What perks can I give VIPs without unbalancing the game? Stick to cosmetic and convenience perks: chat color, more homes, themed kits and access to travel commands. Avoid items that break the server's economy or PvP. How does a VIP rank turn into revenue? Connect the store so it adds the player to the VIP group after payment. With a monthly fee or a one-time purchase, the rank becomes the main recurring income for many servers.
