Quick answer

A FiveM server hosted in Brazil costs from **R$ 80.00 per month** for the setup that handles up to twenty players, and goes up to R$ 370.00 per month for the plan with 150 to 200 players and 13 GB of RAM. But the server fee is only the first line in the budget: a roleplay project also adds a database, paid scripts, a Discord bot and the time of the staff who keep it all running.

## Price of each plan[](https://streethosting.com.br/en/guides/vps/how-much-does-a-fivem-server-cost-in-brazil#precos-por-plano)

The FiveM line has five tiers. Each one raises memory and vCPU along with player capacity, because a full city on too few cores feels just as laggy as an empty city with too little memory. Prices are monthly and the infrastructure is in São Paulo.

| Plan | Players | RAM | vCPU | Monthly price |
| -------- | ----------- | ----- | ------ | ------------- |
| Inicial | Up to 20 | 2 GB | 2 vCPU | R$ 80.00 |
| Avançado | 40 to 60 | 4 GB | 3 vCPU | R$ 150.00 |
| Supremo | 60 to 80 | 6 GB | 4 vCPU | R$ 220.00 |
| Master | 100 or more | 10 GB | 5 vCPU | R$ 280.00 |
| Ultra | 150 to 200 | 13 GB | 6 vCPU | R$ 370.00 |

The Inicial plan is meant for development and testing. It is great for building the base, testing resources and rehearsing the city with your staff before opening to the public. Do not count on it for an advertised launch, because a new city usually gets a spike of curious visitors on the first weekend and twenty slots are gone in minutes.

As for billing, there are four cycles available: monthly, quarterly, semiannual and annual. The price of each one shows in the selector on the plan page, so you compare them at checkout. Payment accepts Pix, credit card and boleto (bank slip). Pix confirms almost immediately, while boleto depends on the bank clearing it and usually takes one or two business days. The price charged on renewal is the same as the first cycle, with no introductory price that goes up later.

Activation is automatic within about 60 seconds after the payment is approved. With Pix the confirmation is nearly instant, so you can test a setup on the same day the idea came up.

## The real cost of the project[](https://streethosting.com.br/en/guides/vps/how-much-does-a-fivem-server-cost-in-brazil#custo-real-do-projeto)

Anyone asking how much a FiveM server costs is almost always trying to find out how much it costs to run a roleplay city. Those are different things. A city has five cost components, and only one of them is hosting.

* **Game server:** the monthly fee from the table above. It is the predictable item and the only one you solve with a single click.
* **Database:**all of the city's persistence lives in it. Characters, inventory, vehicles, properties, money and police records. On the ready-to-play plan it comes with the hosting. On a VPS with root access you install MariaDB on the machine itself, and then the cost is the memory and disk it takes up.
* **Paid scripts and MLOs:** this is where the biggest variation lives. You can build an entire city using only free resources, and you can also spend hundreds of reais on a single pack of custom interiors. Most projects buy a few key items, such as an inventory system and one or two standout MLOs, and build the rest.
* **Discord and bots:** no RP city works without an organized Discord. A whitelist, ticket and log bot costs from R$ 4.49 per month on the 512 MB plan, or R$ 17.99 on the 2 GB plan for heavier bots.
* **Staff:** the cost that never shows up on an invoice. Someone has to approve whitelist applications, mediate conflicts, fix script bugs and keep the city alive. In small projects that is volunteer work from friends. In projects that grow, it turns into an uncomfortable conversation about splitting revenue.

## Why RP uses more resources[](https://streethosting.com.br/en/guides/vps/how-much-does-a-fivem-server-cost-in-brazil#por-que-rp-consome-mais)

Compared with almost any other hosted game, a roleplay server is expensive for the same number of players. The explanation lies in the nature of FXServer.

On an FPS server, the server's job is well defined: position, physics, collision and shot validation. In a roleplay city, the server runs all the logic your staff wrote. Every job is code. Every item in the inventory is an entry that has to be saved. Every parked vehicle keeps state. Every message on the in-game phone goes through a resource. Every purchase in a shop opens a database query.

Add asset streaming on top of that. MLOs, clothing, custom vehicles and modified maps are files the server has to deliver to the player on join. A city with a large library uses disk and bandwidth far more aggressively than an ordinary game server, and it also fills memory with whatever stays cached.

There is one more cost component that shows up on the first weekend: the bandwidth used when players join. The first time someone connects, they have to download the city's entire asset library. At an advertised launch, dozens of people do this at the same time, and the experience of those already inside depends on the server being able to handle those transfers without hurting gameplay. Cities that trim their assets before opening suffer far less at that moment.

Bigger hardware does not save a poorly optimized base. A single resource that queries the database in a loop brings down the stability of an entire city, no matter which plan you bought. Auditing your resources is cheaper than moving up a tier.

## Scripts weigh more than players[](https://streethosting.com.br/en/guides/vps/how-much-does-a-fivem-server-cost-in-brazil#scripts-pesam-mais)

The slot count is the number you see in the ads, but it is not what decides which plan you need. Two cities with the same number of players online can require different plans because of their codebase.

A light city, with a lean framework, few jobs and a simple inventory, handles forty players comfortably on 4 GB. A heavy city, with a complex economy, a faction system, properties, dozens of MLOs and a full phone, can suffocate with those same forty players and need 10 GB to run without choking.

The practical consequence for your budget is straightforward: decide on the base before you decide on the plan. If your city will be whitelist-only with few people and a lot of complexity, size it by the complexity. If it will be open with a simple base, size it by the player count. The technical breakdown of this choice is in [sizing FiveM on a Ryzen VPS](https://streethosting.com.br/en/guides/vps/fivem-server-sizing-ryzen-vps).

## A sample budget[](https://streethosting.com.br/en/guides/vps/how-much-does-a-fivem-server-cost-in-brazil#orcamento-de-exemplo)

To make the math concrete, here are three common project profiles and the recurring monthly cost of each. The price of paid scripts is left out of the monthly column because it is usually a one-time purchase.

| Project profile | FiveM plan | Discord bot | Monthly total |
| ----------------------------------- | ------------------- | ------------------ | ------------- |
| City in development, staff testing | Inicial, R$ 80.00 | Basic, R$ 4.49 | R$ 84.49 |
| Newly opened whitelist city | Avançado, R$ 150.00 | Essential, R$ 8.99 | R$ 158.99 |
| Established city with a daily queue | Master, R$ 280.00 | Advanced, R$ 17.99 | R$ 297.99 |

Split among a staff of five or six people running the project, these amounts come to a few dozen reais per head. That is why so many RP cities survive with no monetization at all in their first months. The problem shows up when the city grows and the jump to the next plan lands at the moment the staff is most worn out.

As for paid scripts, the range is too wide to fit in a table. It pays to treat that purchase as a one-time investment rather than a monthly expense, setting aside an amount each quarter to buy only what the city has proven it needs. A project that starts by buying a complete pack before it has a single player usually finds out too late that half the resources do not fit the direction the community ended up taking.

## How not to overspend[](https://streethosting.com.br/en/guides/vps/how-much-does-a-fivem-server-cost-in-brazil#como-nao-gastar-demais)

Three decisions prevent most of the waste in a beginner roleplay project.

* **Do not buy for the audience you expect:** buy for the audience you have. Moving up a plan takes minutes, and a whole month paying for empty slots does not come back.
* **Buy paid scripts after validating the idea:** plenty of cities die with an MLO pack that was bought and never installed. Open with the essentials and reinvest once people are playing.
* **Pick a longer cycle once the project stabilizes:** the price of each cycle shows in the selector on the [FiveM hosting page](https://streethosting.com.br/en/fivem). Locking in a longer cycle takes the monthly charge out of the way and helps your staff stay organized.

If your project already needs root access, with a separate database, its own panel and more than one instance, the way to go is a [Ryzen VPS](https://streethosting.com.br/en/vps/ryzen). The requirements are in [Ryzen VPS for FiveM in Brazil](https://streethosting.com.br/en/guides/vps/ryzen-vps-for-fivem-brazil) and the step-by-step installation is in [installing a FiveM server with txAdmin](https://streethosting.com.br/en/guides/vps/install-fivem-server-txadmin-vps).

## Frequently asked questions

How much does a FiveM server cost per month in Brazil?

StreetHosting FiveM plans start at R$ 80.00 per month, for up to twenty players with 2 GB of RAM, and go up to R$ 370.00 per month, for 150 to 200 players with 13 GB of RAM and 6 vCPU. Roleplay cities in their first weeks of operation usually land between R$ 150.00 and R$ 220.00.

How much does it cost to set up a complete RP city?

On top of the server fee, a roleplay project adds a database, paid scripts and MLOs, a Discord bot plan and the staff's time. An average project usually adds up to between R$ 200.00 and R$ 400.00 per month in infrastructure, plus the one-time cost of the scripts you buy.

Why does a FiveM server use more resources than other games?

Because FXServer runs all the logic of the installed resources on top of the game itself. Economy, jobs, inventory, vehicles, phone and MLOs are code running all the time, and every database query also goes through the server.

What weighs more on the server, players or scripts?

Scripts. A city with a few well-written resources handles dozens of players without trouble, while a base full of poorly optimized scripts chokes at half of that. That is why you should pick the plan by how complex the base is, not just by the slot count.

Do I have to pay separately for the FiveM database?

On the ready-to-play plan the database comes with the hosting. On a VPS with root access, you install MariaDB or MySQL on the same machine at no extra cost beyond the memory and disk it uses.
